How to remove automatic scan disk scanning when windows start

Today a guy asked me for help regarding scan disk removable after starting computer. Every times when he starts window his computer show when  windows are improperly shut down after a troubleshoot that scan-disk will run on the next reboot to check the contents of the hard disk. But sometime registry is changed due to which scanning  process starts.

Here is the solution:
chkdsk is a command that check the disk surface whenever there is physical errors. To disable to chkdsk, you must run the Registry Editor (regedt32.exe)

Method:

click on start and then go run
Write regedit then hit enter:

Now you have to change registry key :

First click on hkey_local_machine
Under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

then change the BootExecute entry to:
autocheck autochk *

Finally exit the registry and restart your computer to save setting made to windows.

Note: that this function is applicable for windows 2000 and windows XP.

Do comment if this helped you :)
